Terms of service

The agreement between your practice and ours.

These terms govern your use of taxfilo. They are written to be read rather than skipped — there is nothing buried here that a professional would object to.

01

The agreement

By creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of your firm. If you are accepting them for a partnership or a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

These terms apply to the trial as well as to any paid subscription, and to every user you invite onto your account.

02

What we provide

taxfilo is a practice management and compliance preparation platform. It helps you prepare and track GST, ITR, TDS and ROC work, and generates files in the formats the relevant portals accept.

We aim to keep the platform aligned with current law and to ship changes promptly when a rule, form or threshold changes. The platform is a tool used by a qualified professional; it is not a substitute for professional judgement.

03

Your responsibilities

The professional relationship with your client remains yours. So does responsibility for what is filed.

Accuracy of dataYou are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter or import.
Review before filingEvery return should be reviewed by you before submission. Automated computation assists your judgement; it does not replace it.
Account securityKeep credentials confidential, use the role controls provided, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Lawful useUse the platform only for legitimate professional work, and only with data you are entitled to process.
04

Trial and subscription

The free trial runs for fourteen days with every module available and a limit on the number of clients. No payment details are required to start it, and it does not convert into a paid plan automatically.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the period chosen. You can cancel at any time; the subscription then runs to the end of the current period and does not renew.

05

Your data and your content

Your firm’s data and your clients’ data remain yours. We claim no ownership of anything you enter and grant ourselves no licence to it beyond what is needed to run the service for you.

You can export your data at any time while the account is active. Closing an account does not entitle us to keep it — see the privacy policy for retention and deletion.

06

Availability and support

We work to keep the platform available continuously and publish its operational status. Planned maintenance is scheduled away from peak filing periods wherever possible and announced in advance.

Support is provided by email and in-app during Indian business hours, with faster response around statutory due dates.

07

Limits of liability

We do not exclude liability for anything the law does not permit us to exclude. Subject to that, our aggregate liability in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for penalties, interest or late fees arising from data you entered incorrectly, from a return you chose not to review, or from a portal outage outside our control.

08

Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time from within the platform. We may suspend or end an account for non-payment, or for use that is unlawful or that materially harms the service for others — with notice, except where the law requires immediate action.

On termination you keep the right to export your data for a reasonable period before deletion.

09

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at our registered office have jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
